Baseball Recap: Asheville Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Asheville's offense. They came up short against the Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association Patriots on Wednesday, falling 11-0. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Cougars' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Asheville's loss dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-3-1 record this season.

Asheville will take on Wesleyan Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association, they will take on Washington in a tournament on Thursday.
