Soccer Recap: West Port Comes Up Short

After flying high against Dunnellon last Thursday, West Port came back down to earth. The West Port Wolf Pack lost 7-0 to the Gainesville Hurricanes on Monday.

West Port's loss dropped their record down to 7-9-1. As for Gainesville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-5-1.

West Port wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 0-0 draw against North Marion on the 15th. As for Gainesville, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Eastside at 7:00 p.m. Gainesville will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more goals each game than the last.
