Football Recap: North Rock Creek Cougars vs. Kingfisher Yellowjackets

North Rock Creek fell victim to Kingfisher and their airtight defense on Thursday. They were dealt a 34-0 defeat at the hands of the Yellowjackets. The Cougars lost against the Yellowjackets in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 45-41 score last time.

Landon Rosser threw for 45 yards on six of 19 attempts. Tyson Hawkins was his top target, picking up 26 receiving yards. On the ground, Hunter Bertram rushed for 49 yards.

Kingfisher can attribute much of their success to Jackson Willbanks, who picked up 59 receiving yards and two TDs. Willbanks also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making five total tackles and defending one pass.

North Rock Creek's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-5. As for Kingfisher, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.
