There's no place like home for the Granite Hills Eagles, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They took their match at home on Thursday with ease, bagging a 64-19 victory over Southwest EC. That 64-19 margin sets a new team best for Granite Hills this season.
Granite Hills was led to victory by Robert Petrich and Lathan Fry. Petrich scored 13 points along with five rebounds and five steals, while Fry dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds. The matchup was Fry's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Andre Dankha, who scored 14 points.
Granite Hills pushed their record up to 4-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.5 points per game. As for Southwest EC, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.
Granite Hills won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against San Ysidro at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. San Ysidro is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Southwest EC, they will head out on the road to face off against O'Farrell Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully O'Farrell Charter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Thursday.
