Volleyball Recap: Maconaquah's Run of Seven Straight Wins Now Over

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Maconaquah couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 3-0 to the West Lafayette Red Devils on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Braves have suffered since September 25th.

Kasey Murry paced Maconaquah's offense, picking up ten kills. Murry got some help from Delaney Betzner and her ten assists.

The defeat snapped Maconaquah's winning streak at seven matches and leaves them with a 23-9 record. As for West Lafayette, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 21-9.

Maconaquah does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Lafayette, after both having extra time off, they and Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
