Volleyball Recap: Burroughs Extends Winning Streak to Four + How To Watch

Burroughs entered their tilt with Sultana on Wednesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Sultans with a sharp 3-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Burros: when they faced off against the Sultans back in September, they had to take a 3-0 defeat.

While Burroughs won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-22, 25-18.

Lillah O'Grady was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 11 digs and one assist. Aaliyah Melton also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Burroughs was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in 12 consecutive matches.

Despite the loss, Sultana still got an impressive performance from Brooklyn Kelly, who had 12 digs and two assists.

Burroughs' record now sits at 25-7. As for Sultana, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 17-7.

Coming up, Burroughs will be playing at home against Northview at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sultana, after both having extra time off, they and Oak Park will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Eagles have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
