Recap: Hollidaysburg Golden Tigers vs. Danville Ironmen

On Friday, Hollidaysburg came up short against Danville and fell 28-21. Hollidaysburg has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Although Hollidaysburg took the loss, they still got scores from Jay Albarano, Brady Steiner, and Jack Steiner.

Danville was led to victory by Aaron Johnson and Madden Patrick. Johnson picked up 126 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Patrick threw for 328 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per attempt. Johnson was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield for a catch that went for 68 yards.

Hollidaysburg's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 3-5. The slump could be explained by some tough opposition over that stretch, namely Danville, Westinghouse, and Fort Hill. As for Danville, the win was the fourth in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hollidaysburg will take on DuBois at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. DuBois will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 318th, while Hollidaysburg is ranked 129th). As for Danville, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Executive Education Academy Charter School at 7:00 p.m.
