Football Game Preview: Buena Vista Demons vs. Limon Badgers + How To Watch

Buena Vista is on a nine-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Limon is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Demons will welcome the Badgers at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Buena Vista 9.9, Limon 10.8) so any points scored will be well earned.

Buena Vista is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They took down Centauri 27-12. The Demons' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Buena Vista got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Hudson Wingo out in front who threw for 163 yards and three TDs. That's the most passing yards Wingo has posted since back in September. Eli Schuknecht helped Wingo out on the ground, rushing for 150 yards.

Buena Vista didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tucker Montoya and Abel Flowers.

Meanwhile, Limon didn't have too much trouble with Wray on Saturday as they won 35-21.

Buena Vista better keep an eye on Jacob Jaklich. He was instrumental in Limon's win, rushing for 216 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry. Jaklich's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 120 rushing yards.

Limon was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 388 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 168 rushing yards in eight consecutive contests.

Buena Vista's win bumped their record up to 12-0. As for Limon, their victory bumped their record up to 11-1.

Saturday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Buena Vista has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 210.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Limon struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 251.9 rushing yards. There's a good chance Saturday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Buena Vista came out on top in a nail-biter against Limon in their previous meeting back in September, sneaking past 13-10. Will the Demons repeat their success, or do the Badgers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
