Douglass Academy extended their winning streak to four on Saturday, bumping their season record up to 4-2 in the process. Everything went their way against Laguardia as they made off with a 9-3 win. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by six runs or more this season.

As for Laguardia, with the defeat, they broke their six-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-2. The contest marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

For Laguardia's part, RIKI EKUNI was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. EKUNI has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. ETHAN GROSS also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Douglass Academy will challenge Esperanza Preparatory Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Laguardia, they will face off against Art & Design at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
