Football Recap: Cameron Takes a Loss

Cameron played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 28-6 to the Monroe Central Seminoles. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Dragons came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 55th in West Virginia, while the Seminoles are ranked 516th in Ohio).

Despite the loss, Cameron still got an impressive performance from Marshall Holland, who rushed for 109 yards and one touchdown.

Cameron's record now sits at 4-2. As for Monroe Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season.

Cameron will venture away from home to challenge Bridgeport at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Monroe Central, they will welcome Shadyside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Seminoles are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
