Basketball Recap: Green Forest Takes a Loss

Green Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight loss. They were outmatched by the Shiloh Christian Saints and fell 77-34. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 270th, while the Saints are ranked 85th).

When it comes to explaining why Green Forest lost, don't look at Zak Watson. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten boards. That's the most rebounds Watson has posted since back in February of 2024. Grady Massengale was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Green Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 4-23. As for Shiloh Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Green Forest nor Shiloh Christian have any future games scheduled.
