Basketball Recap: Pocono Mountain East Takes a Loss

Pocono Mountain East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Nazareth Area Blue Eagles, falling 54-34. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 358th, while the Blue Eagles are ranked 133rd).

Pocono Mountain East's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Nazareth Area, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Pocono Mountain East has already played their next contest (against East Stroudsburg North), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Nazareth Area wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-12 win against Whitehall on the 13th.
