Baseball Game Preview: Arapahoe Warriors vs. Douglas County Huskies

The Arapahoe Warriors will venture away from home to square off against the Douglas County Huskies at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Arapahoe came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 15-5 to Heritage. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Carter Landen was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Matt Dollaghan was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Douglas County was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They came up short against Broomfield, falling 8-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Huskies in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

Douglas County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Blatter, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Arapahoe's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Douglas County, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Arapahoe might still be hurting after the 13-3 loss they got from Douglas County in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Arapahoe avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
