Football Game Preview: Hoffman Estates Hawks vs. Batavia Bulldogs + How To Watch

Two dominant signal callers in Austin Lezniak and Michael Vander Luitgaren are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Hoffman Estates Hawks will face off against the Batavia Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Friday, Hoffman Estates ended up a good deal behind Barrington and lost 38-19. The Hawks have struggled against the Fillies/Broncos recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Batavia waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Tigers 45-12. That looming 45-12 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Bulldogs yet this season.

Hoffman Estates better keep an eye on Brett Berggren. He was instrumental in Batavia's win, rushing for 89 yards and two TDs, while also picking up 76 receiving yards and one score. Berggren was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 66 yards. Darin Ashiru also helped out with an impressive 92 receiving yards.

Batavia's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. Gavin Pecor refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself. Batavia got some further help from Nick Jansey: he picked up a sack and made 11 total tackles.

Batavia's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Hoffman Estates, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
