Basketball Recap: Faith Christian's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

After flying high against New Dimensions last Saturday, Faith Christian came back down to earth. The Faith Christian Lions took a 72-60 hit to the loss column at the hands of the City of Life Christian Academy Warriors on Tuesday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

City of Life Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Nathan Thompson, who posted 32 points. With that strong performance, Thompson is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Another player making a difference was Jahkeema King, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards.

Faith Christian's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-6. As for City of Life Christian Academy, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-7.

Faith Christian will take on Cypress Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. City of Life Christian Academy has already played their next game (against Brevard HEAT), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
