Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Winona walked away with it. They came out on top against Northland Christian by a score of 3-1 on Friday. The win was nothing new for the Wildcats as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Taylor Williams paced Winona's offense, picking up 21 kills. Williams got some help from Lexi Lindsey and her 40 assists. Lindsey also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Sophie Kile, each putting up four.

Winona's victory bumped their record up to 37-4. As for Northland Christian, they moved to 25-6-3 with that loss, which also ended their five-match winning streak.

Winona has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Bismarck on the 8th. As for Northland Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Liberal on the 8th.
