The victory continues a trend for New Philadelphia in their matchups with Minerva: they've now won nine in a row.

Wooster's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 8-4. As for New Philadelphia, their win bumped their record up to 7-5-1.

Everything went Wooster's way against New Philadelphia in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as Wooster made off with a 7-0 victory.
