Recap: Strawberry Crest Chargers vs. Bloomingdale Bulls
The Strawberry Crest Chargers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They suffered a tough 66-46 defeat at the hands of Bloomingdale. While losing is never fun, Strawberry Crest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 700th, while Bloomingdale is ranked 257th).
Despite the defeat, Strawberry Crest had strong showings from Cameron Crowe, who scored 16 points along with five assists and two steals, and Jayson Lewis, who scored 15 points. Maximus von Ancken was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with seven rebounds.
Strawberry Crest bumped their record down to 3-17 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road. As for Bloomingdale, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Strawberry Crest will challenge Newsome at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Bloomingdale, they will head out on the road to challenge Armwood at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
