Football Recap: Ascension Catholic Falls Short of Ouachita Christian in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ascension Catholic can now relate to. They fell just short of the Ouachita Christian Eagles by a score of 24-22 on Friday. That makes it the first time this season the Bulldogs have let down their home crowd.

Makin Lenard continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Ouachita Christian, rushing for 132 yards and one touchdown.

Ascension Catholic's loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-2. As for Ouachita Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.

Ascension Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Ouachita Christian, they will head out to take on Vermilion Catholic at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Vermilion Catholic is on a eight-game streak of home wins, Ouachita Christian a seven-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field.
