Basketball Game Preview: Elgin Maroons vs. Streamwood Sabres

For the first time this season, Elgin will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will venture away from home to take on the Streamwood Sabres at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Elgin has now lost 21 straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the 23rd.

On Tuesday, Elgin took a blow against Maine East, falling 67-39.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 69-37, which was the final score in Streamwood's tilt against Leyden on Tuesday.

Elgin will have to contain Kacper Andrusiewicz as he made an impact in Streamwood's last game. He shot 45% from the field on his way to 17 points.
