Basketball Recap: Kendyl Booher's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Ayersville over Fairview

While it was all tied up 21-21 at halftime, Ayersville was not quite Fairview's equal in the second half on Thursday. They took a 46-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fairview Apaches. That's two games in a row now that the Pilots have lost by exactly nine points.

Several Pilots players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kendyl Booher, who posted eight points in addition to six rebounds and four blocks. Booher has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Avery Knueven, who put up seven points and 14 rebounds.

Ayersville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season. As for Fairview, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7.

Ayersville will face off against Continental at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fairview, they will square off against Wayne Trace at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
