Football Recap: Vista PEAK Prep Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Vista PEAK Prep fell victim to Grandview and their airtight defense on Saturday. They had to suffer through a 52-0 loss at the hands of the Wolves.

Rilee Bergquist threw for 81 yards on eight of 23 attempts. Goretty Vazquez De Leon was her top target, picking up 49 receiving yards.

Grandview got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Abby Kirkpatrick out in front who picked up 72 receiving yards and three TDs, and also threw for 27 yards and one touchdown. Another passer making a difference was Brooke Sullivan, who threw for 111 yards and four TDs while completing 90.9% of her passes.

Vista PEAK Prep dropped their record down to 5-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Grandview, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Looking ahead, Vista PEAK Prep will challenge Denver East at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Grandview, they have already played their next contest, a 14-7 victory against ThunderRidge on the 16th.
