Soccer Game Preview: Chapel Hill vs. Athens

Chapel Hill hasn't had much luck against Athens recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Chapel Hill Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Athens Hornets at 7:15 p.m. Chapel Hill will be strutting in after a win while Athens will be coming in after a loss.

On Tuesday, Chapel Hill got the win against Brownsboro by a conclusive 6-2. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won seven matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Athens fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Lindale on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 4-3.

Chapel Hill's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-8. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those three games. As for Athens, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-4.
