Game recap: Evans High School Football Team tops Grovetown

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Matlin Marshall in the first quarter,
Evans (Ga.) led 17-10 at the half.
The Knights expanded their lead to 14 points entering the fourth quarter. Evans' lone score in the quarter came on a Marshall touchdown pass to
Robert Clay.
EHS came in allowing an average of 19.7 points per game this season.
The victory is a complete turnaround from last season's game between these two teams, which
Grovetown (Ga.) took, 38-9.
The victory was a step in the right direction for the Knights, who were coming off a 27-15 defeat at the hands of Jones County in its previous game.
In a AAAAA Region 2 game next week Evans (4-3) takes on Houston County, and Grovetown (1-6) will go up against Warner Robins also in a AAAAA Region 2 game.
