Savannah hadn't done well against Chillicothe recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Savages put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 7-2 win. Considering Savannah have won six contests by more than two goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Savannah has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 40 goals over those eight matches. As for Chillicothe, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-4.

Coincidentally, Savannah and Chillicothe will both be playing Lafayette the next time they take the pitch. The Hornets will head out to face the Fighting Irish at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Savages will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
