The City Honors Centaurs will venture away from home to face off against the West Seneca West Warhawks at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. City Honors is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.4 runs per game this season.

City Honors is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 18 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Hutchinson-Central Tech on Thursday. They lost 15-2 to the Engineers. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Centaurs, who until this matchup were averaging two runs allowed.

City Honors saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lev Schneiderman, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Will Leichtnam was another, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, West Seneca West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Griffith Institute.

Cole Shinners made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brogan Ramirez, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

West Seneca West's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for City Honors, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 12-1.

West Seneca West's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: City Honors hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .423. It's a different story for West Seneca West, though, as they've only averaged .189. Will they be able to contain City Honors' hitters?

City Honors suffered a grim 10-2 defeat to West Seneca West in their previous meeting back in May of 2023. Can the Centaurs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
