Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Paraclete). They were the clear victors by a 20-4 margin over the Adelanto Saints on Saturday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Spirits considering their one-run performance the match before.
Mason Jacobo looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Paraclete got a massive performance out of Armando Saucedo, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits Saucedo has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Antonio Longobardi, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, three doubles, and two RBI.
Paraclete always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Paraclete pushed their record up to 13-13 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Adelanto, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paraclete will host Littlerock at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
