Recap: Las Lomas Knights vs. Napa Grizzlies

The Las Lomas Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 26 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Napa 68-38 on the road. That 68-38 margin sets a new team best for Las Lomas this season.

Las Lomas got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dylan Devinney out in front who scored seven points along with nine rebounds. That's the first time this season that Devinney pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Gozelski, who scored ten points.

Several Grizzlies players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jayden Quintana, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals. The game was Quintana's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Eli Mindle, who scored 11 points.

The win makes it two in a row for Las Lomas and bumps their season record up to 6-4. As for Napa, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Las Lomas will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against AIMS College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on December 27, 2023. AIMS College Prep will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 596th, while Las Lomas is ranked 198th). Napa will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Casa Grande at 7:00 p.m. on January 3rd. Casa Grande is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
