Football Game Preview: William Floyd Colonials vs. Bay Shore Marauders

The William Floyd Colonials will venture away from home to square off against the Bay Shore Marauders at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (William Floyd has six straight wins, Bay Shore has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Saturday, William Floyd was able to grind out a solid victory over Ward Melville, taking the game 28-21.

Jaquan Thomas continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 201 yards and four scores while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making eight total tackles and defending one pass.

Meanwhile, Bay Shore scored first but ultimately less than Lindenhurst in their matchup on Saturday. They were dealt a 45-7 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs. That's two games in a row now that the Marauders have lost by exactly 38 points.

Bay Shore's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for William Floyd, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.

William Floyd strolled past Bay Shore in their previous meeting back in October of 2019 by a score of 42-26. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Marauders' Keon Ayala, who rushed for 115 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries.
