Basketball Recap: Rockport-Fulton Comes Up Short

Rockport-Fulton lost against Carroll back in November and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rockport-Fulton Pirates lost 52-32 to the Carroll Tigers. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Pirates have suffered against the Tigers since December 28, 2015.

Carroll's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daniel Sanchez led the charge by putting up seven points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Samson Gonzales, who posted nine points.

Rockport-Fulton now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Carroll, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-9.

Rockport-Fulton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 56-40 defeat against Victoria East on the 10th. As for Carroll, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 47-42 victory against King on the 10th.
