Volleyball Game Preview: Natick Redhawks vs. Needham Rockets

Natick hasn't had much luck against Needham recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Redhawks will head out to take on the Rockets at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Natick earned a 3-1 win over Braintree. The Redhawks haven't had any issues with the Wamps recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Natick walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the fourth set). The final score came out to 25-18, 25-17, 21-25, 25-10.

Natick's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Lillian Chung, who had 11 digs and four aces, and Scarlett Jones, who had five digs and five aces. The dominant performance also gave Jones a new career-high in assists (three).

They weren't the only good servers: Natick was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Needham made easy work of Wellesley on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Natick's record is now 5-3. As for Needham, their record now sits at 7-1.

Natick couldn't quite get it done against Needham when the teams last played back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Redhawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
