Recap: Providence Christian Eagles vs. Straughn Tigers
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Providence Christian Eagles can now relate to. They were beaten by the Tigers 65-16 on Friday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Providence Christian has scored all season.
Allyx Williamson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Straughn, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 18 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williamson has scored all season. Ora Hall was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with seven assists and six steals.
Providence Christian's loss dropped their record down to 21-9. As for Straughn, they pushed their record up to 21-7 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home.
Providence Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Straughn, they will face off against New Brockton at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. New Brockton will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Straughn surely won't give up without a fight.
