Basketball Recap: Prairie Home Falls to Slater in First Game of Season

Prairie Home unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 45-44 to the Slater Wildcats. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Prairie Home will head out to take on Smithton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Slater, they will venture away from home to face off against Northwest at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
