Baseball Recap: Floyd Central Takes a Loss

Floyd Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the Padua Franciscan Bruins.

Floyd Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jace Martin, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Martin has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Floyd Central's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Padua Franciscan, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Floyd Central Jaguars take on Knox Central Panthers at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Padua Franciscan, they will take on Blazer at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
