Baseball Recap: Lyons Comes Up Short

Lyons lost to Southeast of Saline on Thursday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lions might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 5-2 to the Trojans, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Blake Smith made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Lyons' defeat dropped their record down to 14-11. As for Southeast of Saline, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-3-2.

Coming up, Lyons will square off against Hoisington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southeast of Saline does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
