Football Recap: Wilton Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Wilton couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They had to suffer through a 49-21 loss at the hands of the Kuemper Knights. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Beavers have suffered since August 29th.

When it comes to explaining why Wilton lost on Saturday, don't look at Hayden Hill. Despite the final result, he rushed for 91 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kuemper to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dylan Schon, who threw for 403 yards and six TDs while completing 71.1% of his passes. Thanks to that big game, Schon is now up to 8 passing touchdowns on the season. Kuemper's leading receiver Griffin Glynn was Schon's top target yet again, picking up 182 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

With the loss, Wilton broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-3. As for Kuemper, the win keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Wilton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kuemper, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 28-7 victory against Van Meter on the 21st.
