Champion had already won 11 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.1 runs) and they went ahead and made it 12 on Friday. They put the hurt on the Garfield G-Men with a sharp 12-1 win. The Golden Flashes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 contests by ten runs or more this season.

Carly Dyer made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off seven hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs.

In other batting news, Champion let Jonna Strock and Ava Sylvester run wild. Strock went 2-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base, while Sylvester went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. What's more, Strock posted two RBI, the most she's had over her last eight games. Josie Perhach was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

Champion kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matchups.

Champion's record now sits at 15-4. As for Garfield, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Champion wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 11-4 victory against LaBrae on the 11th. As for Garfield, they have also already played their next matchup, a 19-3 win against Liberty on the 11th.
