Last Monday, Lenoir City came up short against Powell and fell 60-51.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Pickett County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against Cumberland County by a score of 66-57 on Friday. Given the Bobcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 71st, while the Jets are ranked 349th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pickett County's win came from a few key players Lenoir City will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jacob Amonett, who went 7 for 16 on his way to 25 points and six rebounds. The matchup was his 14th in a row with at least ten points. Cole Amonett was another key player, putting up 14 points and five rebounds.

Pickett County's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 23.8 points. As for Lenoir City, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.
