Football Recap: Adams City Comes Up Short

Adams City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 57-0 loss at the hands of the Skyline Falcons. The Eagles lost against the Falcons in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 41-8 score last time.

Alexander Holguin threw for 68 yards on nine of 15 attempts. Andres Esparza was his top target, picking up 46 receiving yards.

Adams City's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Skyline, they pushed their record up to 4-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Adams City will venture away from home to square off against Longmont at 1:00 p.m. on November 1. The Eagles will be up against the Trojans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 43.38 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Skyline, they will head out to take on Broomfield at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. The Falcons will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups.
