Franklin strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past the Belleville Tigers 8-1. Eight seems to be a good number for the Patriots as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Natalie Morton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Savana Mullin was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Riley Kirk, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Franklin's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Belleville, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Franklin will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Tigers: the pair will be back at it again later today.
