Volleyball Recap: Summer Creek's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Monday

After a string of five wins, Summer Creek's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They came up short against the Barbers Hill Eagles, falling 3-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Bulldogs haven't been shut out since back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-15, 25-14.

Barbers Hill can attribute much of their success to Mina Ludwig, who had 11 digs.

Summer Creek's loss dropped their record down to 20-15. As for Barbers Hill, the win (which was their 26th in a row) raised their record to 39-5.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Summer Creek will square off against Clear Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Barbers Hill, they will take on Angleton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
