Basketball Recap: David Alexis Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Central

The Royal Palm Beach Wildcats beat the Central Cobras 71-58 on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Royal Palm Beach's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but David Alexis led the charge by putting up 21 points in addition to five assists and five boards. The contest was Alexis' third in a row with at least 17 points. Guervinsly Pierre was another key player, dropping a double-double with 27 points and 12 rebounds.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Royal Palm Beach was working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They posted nine more assists than Central's also-impressive total of ten.

Central's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Orion Ketchum, who posted 15 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Jaden Bynes, who put up five points along with nine rebounds and five assists.

Royal Palm Beach's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Royal Palm Beach wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 70-63 win against King's Academy on the 21st. As for Central, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Port St. Lucie at 6:00 p.m. on December 2.
