It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bogue Chitto can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 36-8 loss at the hands of the Leake County Gators. The Bobcats' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Even if they lost, Bogue Chitto's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Kayson Magee, Javis Gibson, and Alex Moak, who each picked up one sack apiece. Braylon Rancifer was another major factor on D, making 23 total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Mashawn Leflore continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Leake County, picking up 121 receiving yards and one TD, while also rushing for 80 yards and one score. Leflore also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making three total tackles (1.0 for loss) and defending one pass. Davion Townsend was another key player, rushing for 60 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries.

Bogue Chitto's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Leake County, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-5.

Bogue Chitto does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Leake County, they will welcome Taylorsville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Gators will need to watch out since the Tartars have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven games.
