Recap: Sunnyvale vs. Kaufman
In what's become a running theme this season, Sunnyvale gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 5-1 margin over Kaufman. Landon Marquez de la Plata was a massive factor in the win, as he booted in three goals all by himself.
The win was the fourth in a row for Sunnyvale, bringing their record for this year to 9-3-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those four contests. As for Kaufman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7-1.
Sunnyvale will head out on the road to challenge Mabank at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Sunnyvale's favor is that they have posted big goal totals in their last four matchups. As for Kaufman, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Caddo Mills at 7:15 p.m. on February 21st.
