Baseball Game Preview: Bryant Hurricanes vs. Faith Academy Rams

Bryant is 0-5 against Faith Academy since February of 2015 but things could change on Monday. The Hurricanes will be playing in front of their home fans against the Rams at 6:00 p.m. Bryant will be strutting in after a victory while Faith Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

Bryant is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came out on top against Baker by a score of 17-12 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hurricanes.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Faith Academy and St. Paul's Episcopal, and St. Paul's Episcopal kept the tradition alive. The Rams fell just short of the Saints by a score of 7-6 on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Rams have lost by just one run.

Faith Academy got a good showing from Christian Freeman, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Freeman has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Bryce Turner made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlos Ortiz, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.

Faith Academy's loss dropped their record down to 18-5. As for Bryant, their win bumped their record up to 14-9.
