Volleyball Recap: Bishop Ready Starts Season with Win at Home

Bishop Ready gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Columbus Academy Vikings as they made off with a 3-0 victory. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-11, 25-19.

Among those leading the charge was Sophia Dozer, who had 11 digs and two aces. What's more, she posted four assists, the most she's had since back in October of 2024.

Bishop Ready wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Grandview Heights on the 19th. As for Columbus Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Franklin Heights on the 18th.
