Softball Recap: Raceland's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Raceland waltzed into their contest on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over the Rock Hill Redmen. Considering the Rams have won five games by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Raceland got a massive performance out of Lily Poplin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Kali Vance, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and five RBI.

Poplin wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Raceland kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive matches.

Raceland pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Raceland will square off against Ohio County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rock Hill, they will challenge Meigs at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
