Softball Game Preview: Marshall Eagles vs. Mountain View Vikings

Marshall is on a three-game streak of home losses, and Mountain View a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Marshall Eagles will welcome the Mountain View Vikings at 3:30 p.m. Marshall has given up an average of 14.3 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Marshall came up short against El Monte on Wednesday, falling 18-2.

Roselyn Estrella-Salmeron made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mountain View). They walked away with a 30-26 win over Gabrielino on Wednesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Vikings as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Mountain View, their win bumped their record up to 4-12.
