Baseball Recap: Dudley Comes Up Short

Dudley was the 5-2 winner over Page when they last played one another back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Dudley Panthers fell 22-18 to the Page Pirates on Wednesday.

Antonio Lee Jr. made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was Donovan Locklear, who scored three runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-5.

Even though they lost, Dudley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .438. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Page only posted a batting average of .240.

Dudley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Page, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dudley will head out to take on Atkins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Page, they will hit the road for the first time this season to square off against Wheatmore at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
