After a string of three wins, Calhoun's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They came up short against HCYA, falling 10-3.

Tanner Amerson made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs.

Calhoun's loss dropped their record down to 8-8-3. As for HCYA, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-11-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Calhoun will venture away from home to square off against Ingleside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Sandcrabs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for HCYA, they will head out on the road to face off against Allegiance at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
